Date: 2006-05-12 02:05 pm (UTC)I understand the basic principle of "pwning" people's PCs, then getting them to turn up on an IRC channel to await orders (e.g. "attack that server over there"). However, if you've gathered your own fleet, it seems unlikely that you'd want to hand over control of it to someone else. I assume he means "a botnet of 1000 machines", rather than "1000 separate botnets, each with many machines", but either way it's quite optimistic.
